Privacy notice (POPIA)

Last updated 12 September 2026. Cape Town, South Africa.

Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013

Nexum Telecom (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for personal information processed through this site. Information officer for this notice: support@nexumtelecom.co.za. We process information in South Africa. We do not sell lists.

What we collect and why

Account sign-in: name, email, and (if you use Google or X) the identifier those platforms send us. Cart and checkout: name, company, email, phone, address, VAT number if you give one, order lines, payment method chosen, ticket and tracking numbers. Coverage checks: the address you type. Contact forms: whatever you write. Technical: session cookies needed to stay signed in and keep a cart.

Purpose: to create the account, take and fulfil the order, invoice, collect, courier, support the ticket, check coverage, and meet tax, FICA, RICA and other law we are under. Lawful basis: the contract you are entering, our legitimate interest in stopping spam and fraud, and legal obligation where an Act requires a record.

Operators and transfers

Operators who may see what they need to do their job: the network partner on the last mile (currently often Vox), cloud backup and hosting (currently often IronTree, South African data centres), the courier we book (currently often The Courier Guy), PayPal, Wise, or the finance house if you pick those, and Google or X if you sign in that way. We do not put a marketing pixel on this site today.

If a tool stores data outside South Africa we use it only where POPIA allows a transfer (operator agreement, or a country with adequate protection, or your consent for that path).

Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, object to processing, or withdraw consent where consent was the basis — unless we must keep the record for tax, FICA, RICA, or a dispute. Write the information officer. Complaints: the Information Regulator of South Africa.

We keep order and invoice records as long as tax law requires (usually five years). Account credentials stay until you ask us to close the account. Cart cookies last on this device until you clear them.
