About Nexum

African roots. 22 years in the room. A reputation built on showing up.

We started by doing free IT audits — walk a business, look at the infrastructure, safeguard the information, then tell the truth about what needed to change. That is still the job. The footprint grew. The habit did not.

Nexum Telecom (Pty) Ltd is a registered South African company. This is the live practice: nexumtelecom.co.za, Cape Town. Empty search listings, placeholder templates, and groups using a similar name are not us.

Humble beginnings, kept on purpose

Nexum Telecom grew from on-the-floor work, not from a brand deck. Free IT audits for businesses that needed a cleaner network, safer data, and a phone system that did not surprise them at month-end. Those first jobs taught the only lesson that still matters: walk the risers before you quote.

From there, a Cape Town practice became a national one. We cover the country. We are still based here. Clients stay because response times and client relations are not a slogan — they are how a 22-year reputation is actually built.

Our name, our standard

We provision on leading South African networks and cloud stores because they are stable today — currently as a Vox Business Partner for connectivity, and with IronTree for backup, hosting, and storage. That is a choice, not an identity. If a better last mile or vault appears, we move. The relationship you have is with Nexum — the people who walked the floor and own the ticket.

Voice IP, fibre, 4G+/5G LTE, Wi-Fi, automations, apps, cyber and data security, IT hardware procurement, office print, cloud storage, AI integration and setup. Sold as a bouquet, not a pile of vendors. Cape Town based. National and international coverage. 24-hour desk.

Consistency

Same people on the ticket. Same standard on a two-person office and a multi-floor site.

Response

Highly rated because someone answers, then someone arrives — in that order.

Client relations

Loved by many is a claim we have to re-earn on the next outage, not on a homepage.

How we still work

We don’t quote from a map pin. We walk the floor — risers, patch panels, where the printer actually lives — then assess.

Fibre, SIMs, voice and Wi-Fi on separate accounts is how things get lost. We can bill together when that helps — or keep lines separate when the site needs it that way.
